More right than wrong for the Packers, and a B- to prove it.

You can draft well and still miss the point. The Packers did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to edge rusher, which was the need that mattered most. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Reaching for Bortolini left real value on the table behind him. Fashanu falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Olumuyiwa Fashanu slid further than he should have, and the 25th pick is lovely value for the offensive lineman. It fills a real need, too.
Pick41 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
No drama and no debate, Edgerrin Cooper went about where he belonged in the 41st overall pick. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick58 Rnd2 T'Vondre Sweat
The board had T'Vondre Sweat higher than pick No. 58, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick88 Rnd3 Calen Bullock
A slide stopped in No. 88, with Calen Bullock worth more than the price. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick91 Rnd3 Trey Benson
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Trey Benson. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.

Jaylin Simpson in Round 4, Pick 25 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

Quietly one of the better values of the day, Kitan Oladapo at the Round 5 slot. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.

Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Trevin Wallace at the Round 7 slot is the proof. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.

Nice patience on Jordan Magee, who had no business lasting to the 255th pick. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
