Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Dolphins won the night they stopped Lew from sliding. Grade: B-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Dolphins were there to profit. Connor Lew, the No. 55 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 3 slot.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver. If Nussmeier pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Job largely done: quarterback settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 Spencer Fano
In pick 11 they get a plug-and-play piece up front. A real need, handled.
Pick43 Rnd2 Garrett Nussmeier
A conviction pick on Garrett Nussmeier at slot 43 that the board grades a round light. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick75 Rnd3 A.J. Haulcy
A.J. Haulcy in the 75th pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick87 Rnd3 Connor Lew
Connor Lew at Round 3, Pick 23 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick91 Rnd3 Eli Stowers
You do not let a tight end like Eli Stowers reach No. 91 and blink. They did not. The roster fit checks out.
Pick111 Rnd4 Justice Haynes
They did well to land Justice Haynes in pick No. 111, just ahead of his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick149 Rnd5 Tacario Davis
Somehow Tacario Davis was still sitting there in the 149th overall pick, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick227 Rnd7 Jackson Arnold
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jackson Arnold at the Round 7 slot is the proof. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
