Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Connor Lew got past him. The Dolphins do not have to explain a thing at the 87th pick. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Every board in the league had Nussmeier lower, and that gap is the story.

They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
