Best value of the weekend goes to the Chiefs for Echoles: B-.

You could see the war room lean forward. Will Echoles at pick 109 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

Reaching for Wingo left real value on the table behind him. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jamari Johnson in the Round 2 slot. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick74 Rnd3 Raleek Brown
They paid sticker price for Raleek Brown in the 74th pick, and that is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick109 Rnd4 Will Echoles
Will Echoles in slot 109 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick146 Rnd5 Dylan Lonergan
No drama and no debate, Dylan Lonergan went about where he belonged in Round 5, Pick 8. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick176 Rnd5 Braelin Moore
Taking Braelin Moore in the 176th overall pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
