Draft Grade — Bears
Overall

FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Bears, and a B- to prove it. Boards are made to be trusted, and the Bears shredded theirs for Anto Saka. He came off 33 spots early, and the room will hear about it.
They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. However the rest shakes out, Reed-Adams at that price is a win they earned.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
LT Overton
In the Round 1 slot they get a problem off the edge, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick57
Rnd2
Emmanuel Pregnon
Emmanuel Pregnon slid further than he should have, and No. 57 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. The roster fit checks out.
Pick89
Rnd3
Anto Saka
Anto Saka at slot 89 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick129
Rnd4
Jude Bowry
Jude Bowry at the 129th pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick163
Rnd5
Ar'maj Reed-Adams
Ar'maj Reed-Adams is a better player than the 163rd overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick239
Rnd7
Peyton Bowen
Peyton Bowen at pick 239 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick241
Rnd7
De'Zhaun Stribling
De'Zhaun Stribling in Round 7, Pick 25 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
