The board owed the Jets one, and it paid up: Dani Dennis-Sutton, the No. 145 name on the board, sitting there at slot 207 like a gift left on the doorstep. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

Whatever Cam Ward becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. If Sturdivant pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.
