Simon should have been long gone. The Bears pounced, and earned a B-.

Call it larceny. Cody Simon sat on the board until the 232nd pick, and the Bears did not need to be asked twice.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The Jackson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
