The Bears spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Javon Foster, the No. 121 name on the board, in pick No. 143.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up. The cost of the Haynes reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

The Bears paired the rookies with proven help, Martin Emerson Jr. leading the way.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
