Somebody in the 246th pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bears sat still while Jordan James, the No. 53 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Quenton Nelson gives the group a proven body among the projects.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
