Amegadjie should have been long gone. The Bears pounced, and earned a A.

The Bears ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. Very little went wrong, and the A is earned.

That Amegadjie pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The Bears clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

In the end it comes back to Chop Robinson, and a haul good enough to build on right away.

A reasonable price with a little left over, Chop Robinson in pick No. 16. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.

A straight-up fair deal on Denzel Burke at No. 57, value and slot in agreement. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.

A offensive lineman of that caliber at the 68th pick is the definition of value, full stop. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.

Dominick Puni in pick 104 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick111 Rnd4 Jalen McMillan
They paid sticker price for Jalen McMillan in the 111th overall pick, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick132 Rnd4 Kiran Amegadjie
Kiran Amegadjie at Round 4, Pick 32 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It fills a real need, too.
