Js DRAFTING FOR THEBills

Draft Grade — Bills

The Bills cashed the board's mistake on Higgins: B. The rest of the league will want that one back. Jay Higgins tumbling to the Bills in pick No. 202 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
Nash has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Nick Emmanwori
In pick No. 30 they get a downhill hitter at safety, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick56
Rnd2
Alfred Collins
Alfred Collins at pick 56 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick62
Rnd2
Jihaad Campbell
Somehow Jihaad Campbell was still sitting there in slot 62, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick107
Rnd4
Maxwell Hairston
Nice patience on Maxwell Hairston, who had no business lasting to No. 107. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick130
Rnd4
Tory Horton
The board fumbled Tory Horton all the way to Round 4, Pick 29, and they scooped it up. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick169
Rnd5
Cam Skattebo
You do not let a running back like Cam Skattebo reach the Round 5 slot and blink. They did not. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick172
Rnd5
Jake Majors
Taking Jake Majors in the 172nd pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick175
Rnd5
Nick Nash
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Nick Nash. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick202
Rnd6
Jay Higgins
Jay Higgins in the 202nd overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick204
Rnd6
PJ Williams
PJ Williams at Round 6, Pick 29 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
