The Bills let Carter fall and pounced. Final grade: B+.

The Bills ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.

The Carter pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The linebacker hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Reaching for Clark left real value on the table behind him.

The Patrick Queen deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
