No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Cowboys.

For all the boxes ticked, the Cowboys skipped the loudest one: wide receiver is exactly as bare as it was. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The back end got a real overhaul.

The Ray Davis pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns. Their trades came out a wash either way.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
