The Bears worked the phones like thieves and earned a A-.

Whoever sat across the table from the Bears should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

The veteran additions, Tyler Linderbaum chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. The cost of the Corum reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

The kind of weekend a front office frames and hangs on the wall.
