Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B+
ValueA- NeedB TradesA- FutureB
A franchise passer in Klubnik headlines a B+ weekend for the Bills.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Cade Klubnik is the Bills' quarterback, full stop. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The Baker pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Cade Klubnik
In the Round 1 slot they get a long-term answer under center, and a steal at that.
Pick89 Rnd3 Eugene Wilson III
Circle this one: Eugene Wilson III at pick No. 89 is a fall that decides a draft. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick97 Rnd3 Keon Sabb
Keon Sabb slid further than he should have, and the 97th overall pick is lovely value for the safety. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick125 Rnd4 Monroe Freeling
They barely believed it either: Monroe Freeling still on the board at the 125th pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick132 Rnd4 Will Lee III
Somehow Will Lee III was still sitting there in Round 4, Pick 30, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick171 Rnd5 Quinten Joyner
A quiet steal in pick 171: Quinten Joyner for less than the market said. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick173 Rnd5 Jaishawn Barham
They went early on Jaishawn Barham in No. 173, and the value did not follow. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick217 Rnd7 Trey Leckner
By-the-book stuff, Trey Leckner at slot 217 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick222 Rnd7 Tosh Baker
A reach for Tosh Baker in the 222nd overall pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick245 Rnd7 Shamar Porter
Steal is underselling it; Shamar Porter at Round 7, Pick 29 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
