The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Texans watched Troy Franklin slide 53 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

They will need Hopper to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
