Restrepo should have been long gone. The Panthers pounced, and earned a B.

Somebody in pick 227 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Panthers sat still while Xavier Restrepo, the No. 49 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
