Draft Grade — Jets
Overall
B
ValueB

FutureB-
The Jets found their guy under center in Simpson: B. After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Jets committed. Ty Simpson is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.
They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
Ty Simpson
In the Round 1 slot they get the arm they will build around. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick32
Rnd1
Cashius Howell
In the 32nd pick they get a premier pass rusher at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick35
Rnd2
KC Concepcion
No drama and no debate, KC Concepcion went about where he belonged in the 35th overall pick. It fills a real need, too.
Pick46
Rnd2
CJ Allen
CJ Allen in No. 46 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
