Draft Grade — Broncos

Good, not great, for the Broncos: B. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Broncos did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to linebacker, which was the need that mattered most. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
Tate at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 2 of 8 of the wish list covered.
They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Carnell Tate
In No. 28 they get a weapon on the perimeter, outstanding value to boot.
Pick60
Rnd2
Darrell Jackson Jr.
A straight-up fair deal on Darrell Jackson Jr. at the 60th pick, value and slot in agreement. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
