The Bears kept it disciplined and banked a B+. There is conviction, and then there is this. The Bears took Emery Jones Jr. a full 123 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.
Landing Mondon Jr. that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
The Bears clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
