The Browns did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Browns reached some 58 spots for Brevyn Spann-Ford, and value like that does not grow back.

That McClellan pick is the receipt they will wave around later. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
