For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Commanders walked out of the weekend still thin at wide receiver, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They banked enough surplus on Jackson to cover a lot of smaller sins. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend. Job largely done: tight end settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
