Draft Grade — Commanders
Overall C
ValueB NeedB- TradesF FutureB
The phones sank the Commanders this weekend: C.

There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Commanders started one anyway for Thor Griffith, 71 picks ahead of schedule. A mixed bag that lands at C.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Emmanwori. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.

It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.

Pick Analysis
Pick46 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
They robbed the room for Nick Emmanwori here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick61 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Jihaad Campbell in the 61st pick, plain and simple. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick67 Rnd3 TreVeyon Henderson
A quiet steal in pick 67: TreVeyon Henderson for less than the market said. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick140 Rnd5 Nohl Williams
The board had Nohl Williams higher than pick No. 140, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick163 Rnd5 Logan Brown
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Logan Brown in the 163rd overall pick. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick205 Rnd6 Jordan Hancock
Jordan Hancock at slot 205 is a conviction pick that outran the value. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick218 Rnd7 Isaac TeSlaa
They paid up for Isaac TeSlaa at pick No. 218 when waiting would have done the job. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick230 Rnd7 Garrett Dellinger
Garrett Dellinger in No. 230 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick242 Rnd7 Kitan Crawford
No edge and no loss on Kitan Crawford in the 242nd pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick245 Rnd7 Thor Griffith
Thor Griffith at the 245th overall pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. The roster fit checks out.
