The Bears did not so much draft Nick Martin as overpay for him, 44 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. It washes out to a C, no better and no worse.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Green steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
