Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Nicholas Singleton got past him. The Bengals do not have to explain a thing at No. 192. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback. The veteran additions, Christian Watson chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
