Draft Grade — Titans
Overall C
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesF FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Titans for Slaughter: C.

You build a draft on nights like this. Jake Slaughter had no business being available in the 85th pick, and the Titans did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. Every board in the league had Hall lower, and that gap is the story. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Hit on Jeremiyah Love and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

Pick Analysis
Pick4 Rnd1 Jeremiyah Love
In Round 1, Pick 4 they get a centerpiece for the ground game. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick35 Rnd2 Joshua Josephs
A reach on Joshua Josephs in slot 35; the board had better options right there. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick66 Rnd3 Jacob Rodriguez
Jacob Rodriguez in the Round 3 slot is fair value, right on his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick85 Rnd3 Jake Slaughter
Jake Slaughter in pick No. 85 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick99 Rnd3 Bryce Lance
A slide stopped in pick 99, with Bryce Lance worth more than the price. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick101 Rnd4 Zakee Wheatley
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Zakee Wheatley in the 101st pick. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick142 Rnd5 Beau Stephens
They paid up for Beau Stephens at the 142nd overall pick when waiting would have done the job. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick144 Rnd5 Louis Moore
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Louis Moore well ahead of where he belonged. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick184 Rnd6 Josh Cameron
Josh Cameron at No. 184 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick194 Rnd6 TJ Hall
They talked themselves into TJ Hall at the 194th overall pick, and the board did not agree. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick225 Rnd7 Isaiah Jatta
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Isaiah Jatta. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
