The board owed the Browns one, and it paid up: Charles Grant, the No. 91 name on the board, sitting there at slot 179 like a gift left on the doorstep. No fireworks, but a solid B.

That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. On the needs board they went 7 of 9, with quarterback the one that mattered most. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
