Draft Grade — Browns
Overall

ValueB+

FutureA
Sanders is the Browns' new face under center. Grade: A-. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Browns spent their marquee pick on Shedeur Sanders, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.
Landing Mickens that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Shedeur Sanders and all.
Pick Analysis
Pick8
Rnd1
Shedeur Sanders
Shedeur Sanders in the 8th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick33
Rnd2
Colston Loveland
Colston Loveland at pick 33 is money in the bank, a tight end taken below his worth. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick67
Rnd3
Deone Walker
Deone Walker at the 67th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick94
Rnd3
Quinshon Judkins
Quinshon Judkins at pick No. 94 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick104
Rnd4
Donovan Jackson
You do not let an offensive lineman like Donovan Jackson reach slot 104 and blink. They did not. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick179
Rnd6
Dillon Gabriel
Dillon Gabriel in Round 6, Pick 3 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick192
Rnd6
Jackson Slater
The board fumbled Jackson Slater all the way to the Round 6 slot, and they scooped it up. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick200
Rnd6
Ollie Gordon II
Circle this one: Ollie Gordon II at No. 200 is a fall that decides a draft. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick216
Rnd6
Jaylen Reed
They will replay Jaylen Reed at the 216th pick for years; that is how good the value is. It fills a real need, too.
Pick254
Rnd7
R.J. Mickens
R.J. Mickens in pick 254 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A need, and now a little less of one.
