The Panthers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Ollie Gordon II, the No. 164 name on the board, in the Round 7 slot. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Ezeiruaku reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
