Grand theft in slot 248: the Commanders steal Marks and grade out a B+.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Woody Marks tumbling to the Commanders in Round 7, Pick 32 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The Stutsman pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at tight end, edge rusher and other spots. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

They will replay Carson Vinson at the Round 7 slot for years; that is how good the value is. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.

Woody Marks at pick 248 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
