The Bears did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Donovan Jackson fell into the 149th pick. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Martin has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
