Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B

The steal of the weekend belongs to the Bills and Williams: B.

The Bills spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Savion Williams, the No. 98 name on the board, in pick 175. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain. Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
In the 30th pick they get a load in the middle, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick56 Rnd2 Isaiah Bond
They paid sticker price for Isaiah Bond in No. 56, and that is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick62 Rnd2 Zy Alexander
They did well to land Zy Alexander in Round 2, Pick 30, just ahead of his grade. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick108 Rnd4 Jordan Burch
Value with a capital V on Jordan Burch in the 108th overall pick, a genuine coup. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick131 Rnd4 Malachi Moore
Steal is underselling it; Malachi Moore at pick 131 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick171 Rnd5 Tommi Hill
They barely believed it either: Tommi Hill still on the board at slot 171. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick175 Rnd5 Savion Williams
Circle this one: Savion Williams at the Round 5 slot is a fall that decides a draft. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick179 Rnd6 Mello Dotson
Mello Dotson in pick No. 179 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick206 Rnd6 Bhayshul Tuten
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Bhayshul Tuten in the Round 6 slot, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick208 Rnd6 JJ Pegues
The board fumbled JJ Pegues all the way to No. 208, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
