Larceny in the Round 7 slot lands the Commanders a B+, Bassa and all.

Somebody in the 254th pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Commanders sat still while Jeffrey Bassa, the No. 132 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.

If Williams pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The Campbell pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher and quarterback still on the board.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
