Draft Grade — Dolphins

FutureB-
Grand theft in pick No. 151: the Dolphins steal Paul Jr. and grade out a B+. You build a draft on nights like this. Chris Paul Jr. had no business being available in the Round 5 slot, and the Dolphins did the only sane thing and turned in the card.
The Uiagalelei reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick Analysis
Pick14
Rnd1
Kenneth Grant
In No. 14 they get an anchor for the defensive front. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick48
Rnd2
Zy Alexander
They liked Zy Alexander enough to skip the value, taking him in the 48th pick. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick98
Rnd3
Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba in slot 98 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick115
Rnd4
Quinshon Judkins
Circle this one: Quinshon Judkins at pick No. 115 is a fall that decides a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick135
Rnd4
Luke Kandra
Luke Kandra at the 135th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick151
Rnd5
Chris Paul Jr.
Chris Paul Jr. at the Round 5 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick156
Rnd5
Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Dont'e Thornton Jr. at Round 5, Pick 17 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick226
Rnd7
DJ Campbell
A premium they did not need to pay, DJ Campbell a notch or two before his time. It fills a real need, too.
Pick233
Rnd7
DJ Uiagalelei
A real head-scratcher, DJ Uiagalelei in slot 233 is miles ahead of his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick252
Rnd7
Kaden Prather
Kaden Prather at No. 252 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
