The one they had to fix is still broken. The Lions left edge rusher untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

The Ioane value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Kayden McDonald. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.

No drama and no debate, Parker Brailsford went about where he belonged in the 118th pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
