Start where it matters. The Patriots took Jayden Daniels to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

Getting Fashanu where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Every board in the league had Jones lower, and that gap is the story. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

It is not that Smith is a bad player; it is that the Patriots had louder needs to answer first.
