Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Lions were there to profit. Smael Mondon Jr., the No. 98 name on the board, should have been long gone before Round 6, Pick 19.

If Morris pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
