Boards are made to be trusted, and the Bears shredded theirs for Arian Smith. He came off 130 spots early, and the room will hear about it.

The Mullings value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The phones were where this weekend was really won. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
