Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Jaguars a B-.

The Jaguars went off the board in a big way for J.C. Davis, 30 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

However the rest shakes out, Price at that price is a win they earned. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick56 Rnd2 Germie Bernard
Germie Bernard at the 56th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick81 Rnd3 Jadarian Price
Somehow Jadarian Price was still sitting there in pick No. 81, and they pounced on premier running back value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick88 Rnd3 Kenyatta Jackson Jr.
A wild overpay on Kenyatta Jackson Jr. in No. 88, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick100 Rnd3 J.C. Davis
A swing that ignored the value entirely, J.C. Davis well ahead of where he belonged. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick124 Rnd4 Jaeden Roberts
A clean, defensible pick in slot 124 with a little surplus value in Jaeden Roberts. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick163 Rnd5 Bryce Boettcher
No edge and no loss on Bryce Boettcher in pick 163; it is a wash and a sensible one. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick165 Rnd5 Jalen Stroman
They barely believed it either: Jalen Stroman still on the board at the Round 5 slot. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick233 Rnd7 Jack Velling
Jack Velling at the 233rd overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick245 Rnd7 Ricardo Hallman
Ricardo Hallman in No. 245 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
