A passer of the future in Daniels, and a A-, for the Patriots.

The Patriots spent the pick that matters most on Jayden Daniels, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher and tight end still on the board. Landing Pearsall that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

In the end it comes back to Jayden Daniels, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
