You could see the war room lean forward. Cornelius Johnson at Round 6, Pick 39 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

If Jackson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
