After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Patriots committed. Michael Penix Jr. is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

The Jones pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
