After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Patriots committed. Drake Maye is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. This is how you run a draft, and the A- reflects it.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

Reaching for Jones left real value on the table behind him.

In the end it comes back to Drake Maye, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
