A passer of the future in Daniels, and a A-, for the Patriots.

Start where it matters. The Patriots took Jayden Daniels to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The Smith pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots.

Getting Jordan where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
