A passer of the future in Maye, and a B+, for the Patriots.

The Patriots spent the pick that matters most on Drake Maye, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

The Beebe pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Patriots paired the rookies with proven help, Bobby Okereke leading the way.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
