The Patriots won the night they stopped Walker from sliding. Grade: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Patriots were there to profit. Devontez Walker, the No. 48 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 3 slot. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
