The Patriots kept it disciplined and banked a B.

The Patriots spent real capital to be 28 picks early on Zakhari Franklin, and the board is going to hold them to it.

However the rest shakes out, Hall Jr. at that price is a win they earned. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, quarterback and other spots still on the board.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
