After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Patriots committed. Drake Maye is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

That Simpson pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
