The 49ers clearly saw something nobody else did in Joe Milton III, taking him 69 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced.

However the rest shakes out, Holker at that price is a win they earned. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
