The Texans torched the value chart for Desmond Watson, taking him 70 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Landing Golden that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
